Our Electronics Repair Process Includes

Inbound Inspection

We start with a thorough inspection of the housing, buttons, accessories, and connectors. A full cosmetic review of all surfaces determines the required refurbishment steps. PCBs are inspected by qualified IPC-A-610 inspectors.

Pre-Test Flashing, Reset, Unenrollment, Data Wipe

As appropriate, parts are flashed with the current released firmware and factory reset prior to testing. Enrolled devices are verified cleared from relevant services. All disks are wiped clean of customer data.

Functional Testing

Our engineers develop custom test appliances to diagnose known defects for higher volume parts. Low volume parts are diagnosed in our bench repair department by Level 2 and Level 3 technicians. All results are saved to the Green Wave Electronics database and visible via the Green Wave Electronics Portal.

Repair & Parts Replacement

Defects detected during inspection and testing are repaired using salvaged parts from unserviceable units, new OEM parts, or approved third-party parts. All repaired items are re-tested to confirm a successful repair.

High-Volume Program Capacity

Our Test and Repair Program processes tens of thousands of parts per week, combining efficient workflows for common SKUs with bench-level expertise for lower-volume items and complex repair cases.

End-to-End Visibility

Test results, repair status, and unit-level records are tracked in our database and visible through the Green Wave Electronics Portal for faster reporting, clearer decisions, and scalable repair oversight across programs.

Lower Total Cost, Faster Redeployments, Smaller eWaste Footprint

Many parts we receive have no functional defect or only minor issues that can be economically repaired and refurbished, allowing you to redeploy product for a fraction of the cost of new and reduce your eWaste footprint.

High-Volume

For high-volume parts, we charge a repair price based on average time and material usage for that part.

Low-Volume

Low-volume repairs are billed competitively on time and materials.

How Our Repair Program Improves Your Economics

1

Predictable Pricing at Scale

High-volume parts are priced based on average time and material usage for that SKU, giving you a stable repair cost model for planning and forecasting.

2

Competitive Bench Repair for Low-Volume Items

Low-volume parts are repaired by Level 2 and Level 3 technicians and billed at competitive time-and-materials rates, making specialized repair economical without sacrificing quality.

3

Redeploy More, Scrap Less

Many units arrive with no functional defect or only minor issues that can be economically repaired and refurbished. Repairing and redeploying product reduces replacement spend and lowers your eWaste footprint.

From unit-level repairs to high-volume programs, our team gives you the process, visibility, and scale to make electronics repair work harder for your business.

FAQs

In-house repair means staffing and maintaining your own bench – a fixed cost that sits idle between volume spikes. Outsourcing to a partner like Green Wave Electronics turns repair into a variable cost that scales with returns, without the capital, training, and overhead of running a lab.

We repair a broad range of consumer electronics and enterprise IT hardware: laptops, tablets, monitors, audio/video gear, gaming hardware and graphics cards (GPUs), networking equipment, servers, and storage arrays – plus units from OEM service-parts programs. Our high-volume program covers returned, RMA, open-box, and excess inventory across these categories.

Yes. Our programs are built for high-volume return cycles, with scalable processes designed to reduce bottlenecks even when inbound volume surges. We align capacity with your return patterns so turnaround stays consistent during peak periods.

Running repair in-house carries fixed costs: technicians, equipment, training, and idle capacity between peaks. With Green Wave Electronics, you get predictable pricing at scale and competitive bench rates for low-volume items, converting fixed overhead into a variable cost that tracks your actual volume.

Before repair, devices are securely prepared, including data wiping, reset, and unenrollment, so no customer data persists through the process. Units that can’t be repaired can be routed for secure data destruction and compliant recycling, keeping sensitive information protected end to end.

Yes. Every item is tracked with serialized records through intake, testing, and repair, and results are recorded in the Green Wave Electronics portal for real-time visibility. We can also report on repair volumes, yields, failure patterns, and cost per unit to support your engineering and operations teams.

We serve customers nationwide from our U.S. facilities, including our 100,000 sq. ft. Atlanta hub near Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.

In returns and reverse logistics, rework means reprocessing returned, open-box, or excess electronics back into working, sellable condition — inspecting, testing, repairing or replacing faulty parts, refurbishing, and repackaging. The goal is to recover value from units that would otherwise be written off.
