System Sensor RRS-MOD Reversing Relay and Synchronization Module

The System Sensor RRS‑MOD is a compact reversing relay and synchronization module intended for use with i3‑series smoke detectors that include built‑in sounders (both 2‑wire and 4‑wire versions). Its role is to ensure that when one detector in a loop goes into alarm all detectors sound and their audible outputs are synchronized. It also allows detector sounders to be silenced from the fire alarm panel or keypad. The RRS‑MOD supports both coded alarm signals and continuous alarm signals via a field‑selectable switch, enabling compatibility with different panel configurations. It is designed for operation over a broad DC voltage range of 8.5‑35 VDC with low current draw (≈ 25 mA). The module features a 2 A relay rated at up to 35 VDC to drive auxiliary outputs or zone circuits. With its small footprint, surface mounting inside fire alarm control panels, hook‑and‑loop or Velcro mounting, quick connect harness, and color‑coded wires the device is meant to simplify installation and ensure reliable synchronized alarm signaling in life safety systems.
