The BlackVue DR500‑HD captures Full HD (1920×1080) video at up to 30 fps via a 2MP CMOS sensor, delivering clear daytime and respectable nighttime footage. It features a wide 156° diagonal lens, built‑in GPS for speed and location logging, Wi‑Fi connectivity for mobile app access, and a G‑sensor to trigger event recording on impact. Audio is captured via onboard mic and can be muted by proximity sensor. Loop and parking‑mode recording keep continuous capture while minimizing storage use. It uses BlackVue’s firmware with adaptive “format‑free” file management on microSD (up to 32 GB).
