The Belkin F1U126‑KIT is a Bitronics AutoSwitch Kit engineered to automatically share one IEEE‑1284 parallel device (such as a printer, scanner, or Zip drive) among up to four computers, or let a single PC select among four parallel devices. Using DOS/Windows Virtual Port software (Windows 3.x/95/98/NT), it supports automatic printer routing and file-transfer links between PCs. The central switch box has DIP-switch-configurable modes (4‑to‑1 or 1‑to‑4), timeout settings, and port-status LEDs. Powered by an included 9 VDC supply (optional), it includes a 1.8 m IEEE 1284‑compliant DB‑25 male-to-male cable and drivers. Constructed with durable plastic housing, it delivers fully electronic, power-free auto-switching under normal operation and supports ECP/EPP modes for high-speed parallel communications. Ideal for legacy environments requiring seamless multi-PC access to parallel devices without manual cable changes.
