Bosch DS1103I Flush-Mount Glassbreak Detector

The Bosch DS1103I is a flush-mount glass-break detector that uses microprocessor-based Sound Analysis Technology (SAT) to reliably detect the specific frequencies associated with breaking glass. Designed for security-sensitive installations, it listens for plate, tempered, laminated, and wired glass break events. It supports a detection range of up to 25 ft (7.6 m) for glass panels larger than 12″ × 12″. The device features automatic environmental test circuitry, which helps avoid false alarms by warning installers when ambient noise could interfere. It also has a “sound check” function: you can clap to verify that the unit is powered and functional. The detector mounts flush on ceilings or walls, giving it a discreet profile. Powered by 9–15 V DC (nominal 12 V), it draws about 21 mA. For alarm output, it uses a normally‑closed reed relay rated 3.5 W, 125 mA at 28 V DC. The rugged housing is made of high-impact ABS, and it is rated to operate in temperatures from –20°F to +120°F (–29 °C to +49 °C).
